Square's published limits: Square Register and Square Terminal accept offline payments for up to 24 hours; Square Reader and Square Stand for up to one hour. You must reconnect within 24 hours to upload, and pending offline payments expire after 72 hours. Offline supports chip and PIN, Apple Pay and Google Pay, but not EBT, Afterpay, Cash App Pay, gift cards, Tap to Pay on phones, or keyed card numbers.
